The Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS)

The Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme is an initiative of the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID) aimed at reducing the gap in wellbeing status between socially excluded groups in India and the rest of the population.

The Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme works with socially excluded groups in India and works in covers 89 selected districts in seven states: Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal

kanthari in Trivandrum, Kerala, South of India, offers a 7 month leadership program for visionaries who have overcome adversity and who are keen to drive ethical social change. Our aim is to reach out and develop potential social leaders from the margins of society.
